Gateway Church Southlake TX Opens This Weekend
The new huge Gateway Church opens this weekend for services Saturday the 13th at 5pm and Sunday the 14th at 9am and 10:45am. Traffic is expected to be moderate so police officers will be directing. The Church itself is 206,000 sqft located near HWY 114 and Kimball Ave and has enough seating for 4,000 people. The previous Gateway Church located off of Southlake Blvd is now for sale.
The City of Southlake has an idea to purchase the old Gateway Church and convert it into a multi-activity center of some kind. No formal agreements have been made yet though.
Gateway was founded 10 years ago and has now grown to over 16,000 members! The Pastor and founder, Robert Morris is also featured on the weekly TV program, The Blessed Life, as watched in 60 million homes all across the world. They even have built a wing dedicated just for children called God's amazement park which focuses on making sure the kids have fun while they are there.
This 168 acre site has plenty of room for growth and is sure to do some great things in the DFW community for many years to come.
